Leeds Memory Walk
On Saturday 22nd September, I joined the Leeds Memory Walk at Temple Newsam for the 2nd time. It was lovely to walk with Janet, Lucy and my cousin Jon's family. We also met up with Belinda and Andrew before we started. Not forgetting our doggie companions who came along too! Yo-yo got lots of attention in his tee shirt! The Memory Walk is just that... it's not a race, but an opportunity to walk together to help race awareness and money to support the Alzheimer's Society. We placed messages on the memory tree. Many people pinned messages to their tee shirts, but I learned last year, that it can be very emotional to start reading them... and so we didn't do that, but the walk does help you to realise the how many people are touched by dementia and the huge importance of this cause.
