For Dorothea...
Thank you to friends and family who came today to celebrate the life of Dorothea. The sun shone and we were thankful for all the wonderful times we had together. I think she would have loved all the flowers; her favourites - daffodils and yellow roses.
Thank you to Wigton Moor Church, to the Rev'd Angela Hughs and to the staff from John Tempest... everyone was so kind and helped to make today memorable.
Thank you to the staff at the Lord Darcy... Mum always enjoyed a meal here, and a glass of red wine, so together we all ate and drank together and chatted about good times together.
Thank you to those who put money in the retiring collection - I have put a £100 on our Just Giving page for the Alzheimer's Society, in memory of Dorothea.
On Sunday, Rainbow Jane, Craft, Chat, Cuppa and Cake, will be dedicated to Mum. From 2pm, we will be rock and glass painting. From 6pm, we'll have a special celebration supper, with a candlelit farewell for Dorothea, just as it begins to get dark. All welcome, but do just drop me a message to let me know if you're coming.
