BBC Reminiscence Archive
I've just discovered this website -
It is a fascinating website which the BBC is putting together with pictures, audio and video clips. You can select a theme or decade. Each snippet has an 'i' button which provide information about it. I'm going to sit and share the site with Mum tomorrow. I'm sure we'll have a good chat about some of the content. You can save bits you like as favourites and come back to them, as each time you log on to the site it is supposed to randomise the content. You can also download and save items you like. Here are a few pictures from the 1960s archive.
Although the site is being developed as a resource for people with dementia, I think it's also full of interesting snippets which would work well in school, and it's an interesting browse for everyone to simply enjoy a little bit of reminiscing.
